Founded in 1978, Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College (OLOPSC) is a premier, affordable non-sectarian educational institution. As one of the biggest co-educational private schools in Marikina City, we offer a seamless educational journey from preschool through senior high school, culminating in our CHED-recognized higher education division: the College of Business, Management, Science, and Education (BMSE).

Since 1978, OLOPSC has continuously evolved. From our humble beginnings to a premier college, explore the definitive milestones that forged our academic heritage.
The Humble Beginning
Inspired to serve the Marikina community, founders Mr. Dionisio Alonzo Salvador Sr. and Mrs. Carmen Caday Salvador open a small day care center along Bayan-bayanan Avenue. Named Our Lady of Perpetual Succor Day Care Center, it starts with just 50 pupils, marking the birth of the institution.
Formalization as a School
The day care center is converted into a formal, non-stock, non-profit school and registered as Our Lady of Perpetual Succor School (OLOPSS), initially offering Grade 1. This transition lays the foundation for a full basic education institution.
Finding a Permanent Home
After years of renting lots, the school purchases its own 1.3-hectare land along Gen. Ordoñez St., which becomes the permanent campus of OLOPSS. The same year, it receives full government recognition for its Pre-elementary, Elementary, and Secondary courses.
First Batch of Seniors & Academic Excellence
The school graduates its first batch of high school seniors, achieving an impressive 97% percentile average in the National College Entrance Exam (NCEE), setting an early standard for academic excellence.
National Recognition for Quality
OLOPSS is granted academic deregulation after being ranked among the Top 250 Secondary Schools and Top 100 Elementary Schools nationwide. This honor cements its reputation as a center of quality education.
Birth of the College & New Name
The school opens its College department and is renamed Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College (OLOPSC), offering its first bachelor's and associate degree programs. This marks its evolution into a full-fledged higher education institution.
Passing of the Founder
Mr. Dionisio Alonzo Salvador Sr., the visionary founder, passes away. His legacy of values, service, and leadership continues to inspire the OLOPSC community.
A New Era of Leadership
Co-founder Mrs. Carmen C. Salvador is installed as the 2nd President of OLOPSC on her 65th birthday, taking the helm to continue the founders' mission.
Embracing the K-12 Program
OLOPSC fully implements the K-12 program in Junior High School and receives a government permit to offer Senior High School programs, adapting to the national education reform.
Major Campus Expansion & PAASCU Journey
The school acquires the DC Arcadia Building for the College, completes the 4-storey CS Building (featuring solar panels), and begins its PAASCU accreditation journey, starting with the High School receiving applicant status. This period reflects growth and commitment to international standards.
A New Leadership for a New Generation
Dr. Armida Salvador Samaniego is installed as the 3rd President of OLOPSC, marking a transition in leadership while continuing the family's legacy.
Innovation in a Crisis & New Branding
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, OLOPSC launches its virtual school, HoBS (Home-Based School), ensuring learning continuity. The school also launches a new branding campaign: "We are ready to fill tomorrow's BIG shoes."
Future-Ready & Full Face-to-Face Learning
The school transitions to full face-to-face modality and introduces Coding Education in Grade School and High School, embodying its mission to empower future-ready learners.
Achieving Highest Accreditations & New Programs
The Kindergarten and Grade School are granted Level III Reaccredited status by FAAP – the highest level. The College Department transfers to its new building, NewGen. OLOPSC is selected as one of three schools in Marikina to pilot the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum.
Expanding Higher Education & Sustainability Commitment
The College Department receives a Government Permit to operate the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program. The College officially rebrands as the OLOPSC - College of Business, Management, Science and Education. OLOPSC enters the UI GreenMetric Sustainability Rankings, solidifying its commitment to an eco-friendly campus.

OLOPSC is a recognized and accredited Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Assessment Center. We are fully equipped and authorized to conduct competency assessments that lead to official National Certifications (NC). Currently, our assessment center caters to individuals seeking professional credentials in Food and Beverage Services NC II and Events Management Services NC III, helping students and professionals gain competitive edge in the global workforce.
